Video for FCI webinar on Coding for General Practice now available

On 23rd April, the Faculty held a webinar to explain the purpose of the recently published FCI COVID-19 coding advice and list of concepts for general practice. This was a great session Chaired by Faculty Honorary Treasurer Nick Booth and beginning with an introductory presentation from Faculty Chair John Williams. This was followed by national perspectives from Ian Thompson (Clinical Lead for Primary Care, Digital Health and Care, Scottish Government) and Julian Costello (Medical Informatician, NHS Wales Informatics Service) and was all supported by Jeremy Rogers (Consultant Terminology Specialist, NHS Digital). The webinar then concluded with an informative Q&A session.

Upcoming webinars are the first meeting of the FCI Clinical Safety Special Interest Group, with sessions on pathology standards and apps, taking place tomorrow 30th April 1- 2.30, and a session on Data Ethics and COVID-19 taking place on 7th May, 12.30 - 1.30.
