Survey to help shape the Digital Clinical Safety

The Digital Safety Team at NHSX is currently developing a Digital Clinical Safety (DCS) strategy in partnership with NHS Digital, NHS England and NHS Improvement, and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

The DCS strategy aims to:

  • Improve the safety of digital technologies in health and care, now and in the future

  • Identify and promote the use of digital technologies as solutions to enduring patient safety problems.

We are working with Kaleidoscope Health and Care who are leading a short, formal consultation on the DCS strategy.

As part of this consultation, we are inviting you to complete a survey to help shape the DCS strategy.

This survey is a very important part of a range of ways Kaleidoscope Health and Care is conducting this consultation in Spring and Summer 2021. The results of this survey will be analysed and presented, along with other data, to the NHSX team to take forward with the intention of finalising and publishing the Digital Clinical Safety strategy in Autumn 2021.

This survey should take 10 to 15 minutes to complete and will remain open until 30 June.

The survey is available via this link.  We kindly ask that you do not share this link with colleagues in order to keep track of who we are engaging with during this phase of the consultation.

Your answers to this survey will be kept confidential by Kaleidoscope Health and Care, in adherence with the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018. If you have any problems accessing or completing the survey please get in touch with George Dellal from Kaleidoscope Health and Care, who is leading this consultation process.

The survey results will be used to inform the strategy and improve safety for our patients and staff.
