Donate to the Faculty of Clinical Informatics

As a registered charity, our mission is to support safe, effective and efficient health and care for the public through the best use of information and information technology.  Any donation to the Faculty will help the Faculty to further develop member services or fund specific programmes to enable us to reach our mission.

We welcome your donation no matter the size and there are many ways to support us - from a one-off donation or regular giving, to leaving a gift in your will.

If you'd like to donate to FCI, thank you! Remember that if you pay income or capital gains tax in the UK, you increase the value of your donation to us by 25% through a Gift Aid declaration. It allows us to claim back tax paid on the donation, which we can then put toward the development of the Faculty.

Make a one-off donation

You can make a single donation by bank transfer.  Please contact for details.

Make regular donations

You can set up a direct debit online here.

If you already have a direct debit set up with us for your membership fees, you don’t need to set up a new one. Just let us know what donation schedule you’d like to make and we can arrange it.

Payroll giving

This is a simple and tax-efficient scheme that allows you to make a regular donation directly from your salary. Your donation is calculated after your National Insurance contribution but before income tax is deducted - so effectively your donation costs you less. For example, each £1 you give will cost a standard rate tax payer 80p and a higher rate tax payer just 60p.

If you're interested, ask your employer if they are enrolled in the Payroll Giving scheme. If they are, choose the regular/monthly amount you would like to donate to the Faculty and your employer will be able to arrange it for you.

Leaving a gift in your will

If you wish, your legacy can be used in a specific programme of work that the Faculty runs or you can leave an unspecified gift which will allow us to direct funds to areas of particular need or priority.
