FCI Standing Committees
The Faculty has five Standing Committees, which support the Council and Trustee Board in advising on key aspects of Faculty business. Membership of Standing Committees is open to both Fellows and Members of the Faculty. If you would like to join any of the committees listed below, please get in touch via email@example.com.
Educations and Standards - Chaired by Dr Alan Hassey and Ms Ann Slee.
Purpose is to provide oversight and guidance on all matters concerning education, training, accreditation and professional standards within clinical informatics in the UK.
Governance and Representation - Chaired by Dr Lance Sandle and Dr Paul Campbell.
Responsible for ensuring that governance is embedded in the organisation ; the Faculty operates within the law and complies with its regulations. It provides assurance to the Trustee Board that the Faculty has effective systems of internal control in relation to risk management and governance.
Professionalism - Chaired by Dr Anne Marie Cunningham and Dr Gareth Thomas
Purpose is to provide oversight and guidance on all matters concerning professionalism of clinical informaticians in the UK. Register to join here.
Membership - Chaired by Dr Sarah Slight and Dr Harpreet Sood.
Purpose is to provide oversight and guidance on all matters concerning the engagement, representation and support for all categories of members within the Faculty.
Finance Audit and Remuneration Committee – Chaired by Dr Nick Booth and Mr Bill Morgan. Purpose is to oversee the Faculty’s financial and resource planning, financial accountability, financial control and financial reporting (including independent audit or review), and to consider remuneration and related issues for Senior Executive staff . To join the group, members need to provide evidence of expertise in the area.
